How to show APPRECIATION to your partner in 5 simple ways.
1. Say It.
Use the words of love. Express it valiantly and unreservedly. You will feel awkward if you're saying it for the first time. That's alright. It only means you need to say more. Just remember - Be sincere.

Next step to make it better is to reciprocate. Appreciation should be a two-way process. When you receive a word of 'thank you', say something nice back expressing your heartiness in hearing it. By doing this, you are creating the environment where good feelings just keep flowing.

Tell her how thankful you are for the wonderful meal she had prepared specially for you. Call in the middle of the day specially to thank him for something sweet he did that morning or the night before.

2. Show It.
Words without action are empty promises. Action without words is just not enough.

Asians may find showing appreciation through actions easier than saying thank you. Look at the role models in our lives. They do not convey their thanks to each other through words but rather through subtle actions.

We see our parents smile and nod to each other when showing their approval. My friend even told me their family culture is such that, so long as nobody says anything it means your behaviour is being accepted and contribution acknowledged. They show appreciation by keeping silent!

If you aren't comfortable with giving bear hugs, how about giving them little thumbs-up for a start? This nice little gesture doesn't take too much courage or strength but it does mean a step forward in showing your partner your pleasure and approval. This could mean a lot to him.

3. Write It.
Pen down what you are thankful for. Simple words that come from the heart carries the most love. If you have a flair for writing, exploit it to compose beautiful phrases and poems to sing the praises and appreciation of your darling.

And you can keep what you've written for future re-read. It not only records your feelings at that specific point, it also serves as a memory point for you and your partner to recall what you did for each other.

4. Be Creative.
Yes, unleash your creativity in you. Make it part of the fun of the whole enjoyment process as well. If you need more ideas, you can tap onto your friends' ingenuity, books or google your way to thousands of treasures on the internet - the world's biggest source of information at your fingertips. Best of all - it comes free! Now is the best time to use it and test it out.

5. Appreciate every single little thing.
You do not need a grand reason to show appreciation, do you? Make your partner feel good for every reason you can find. Make your partner feel good for no good reason.

Thank him/her for simply loving you.

Get into the habit of appreciating your partner. It is just a little bit of effort on your part, but has a huge impact on him/her.

Yeah, i extracted this from a book. =) Enjoy!
